In 2009, when my brother was a Senior in Westport Connecticut Staples highschool, he was one of the best athletes in 2 sports throughout the United States of America. Here are a few pictures and videos of him. His picture is still at the top of the www.staplessoccer.com website and his team's trophies are still cherished respected and honored in the Staples Highshcool Trophy case at the school on campus. He had more than 100 local new paper articles referencing him in 2009 alone, and most of the articles had a great amount of his commentary about victories him and his team achieved. He also received recognition and was highlighted by many other news papers (not as local) and other outlets as well. He also certainly was captain of his of his Soccer team and Volleyball team. His soccer team was Top 10 in the USA soccer team (he was 3rd highest scorer, but primarily was a defense player) and his volleyball team had a 101 game winning streak and Mikey actually went and competed at the Junior Olympics for Volleyball as well that year.
My brother is the champion doing the #1 with both hands pointing to the sky in the top main picture on the Staples Soccer website. He was such a great leader and his team was such a winning team.
My brother specifically invited me to this game of his that he knew was going to be incredible! I went & it was my favorite sports game I ever saw! Mikey's number was #8. He was a top scorer! My brother, Mikey Fitzgerald, played amazingly. His soccer team (Staples High School Westport Connecticut) was excellent! I enjoyed so much watching him play, him score, and him and his team win! Staples High School Westport Connecticut soccer team completed the 2009 season with a final rank of 6th throughout the United States of America! The game that I specifically mentioned was against the 4th ranked team throughout the United States of America. Mikey's soccer team (Staples High School Westport Connecticut) was also ranked top 10 in the United States of America so it was very competitive! Mikey's team won though! Mikey scored twice that game and the final score of that game was 3-2. Mikey's team also obviously won the State Championship game after that! Mikey was the 3rd highest scorer on the team (total 2009 season) but he was primarily a defense player. So impressive! So talented!

Here is also another additional excellent video of Mikey's Westport Connecticut Staples High School Soccer team playing against Greenwich Connecticut! Absolutely excellent teams! Mikey scored the only goal in the game though and led his team to a great victory!
And also here is certainly an amazing video of Mikey's Westport Connecticut Staples volleyball team playing against Darien Connecticut high school volleyball. So impressive. Mikey was the MVP of the FCIAC tournament where Staples High School volleyball won their 8th straight FCIAC title! His volleyball team had a 101-match winning streak! So impressive. Mikey was the Captain of Westport Connecticut's Staples High School volleyball team! Mikey was awarded First Team All-FCIAC and First Team All-State! Mikey also received the Staples High School volleyball team's Best All-Around player award!
